Development Projects

Container Terminal Expansion

The existing Container Terminal will be expanded. The quay wall will reach a total length of 1,550 m and a depth of 16-17 m, while the static storage capacity will reach 38,000 TEU. The terminal is to reach an annual throughput capacity of 2m TEU on an area of 630,000 m². The terminal shall be ready by then to serve vessels with a size of up to 15,000 TEU. Further details on the expansion include the implementation of a truck yard area of 40,000 m², the extension of import and export yards, the extension of the number of reefer container plugs and the installation of six additional RTG cranes.

Liquid Bulk Terminal

The project features the installation of a liquid bulk terminal with three berths. One berths are designated to accept vessels up to a length of 360 while the other two berths are designated to accept smaller vessels up to 90 m length each.

In general, the terminal will be designed to serve vessels up to the size of 60,000 dwt.

The water depth will be 12-14 m. The annual throughput of the terminal will be 2.5m t. The static storage capacity will be around 75,000 t and the terminal yard shall have a size of approx. 32,000 m².

Bunker Facility

The existing bunker facility will be upgraded to receive a new berth with a length of 130 m and a water depth of 8 m. The facility will be of 1m.t annual capacity. The static storage capacity will be 30,000 t and the terminal yard will be 14,000 m² in size. The facility will accept vessels up to the size of 65,000 dwt.

Dry Bulk & Grain Terminal

The existing grain terminal will be replaced with a new dry bulk and grain terminal. The new terminal will have a berth of 550 m length, and a water depth of 14 m.

The static storage capacity will be around 288,000 t and the size of the terminal yard will be approx. 80,000 m². The terminal will be designed to accept vessels up to the size of 65,000 dwt.

Multi-purpose Terminal

The existing general cargo terminal will undergo a complete makeover to become a multi-purpose terminal. The berth length will be approx. 565 m and the water depth will be 14 m.

The terminal will be large enough to cover an annual throughput of 3.5m t. The terminal yard will have a size of approx. 237,000 m².

The terminal will be capable of receiving vessels up to the size of 60,000 dwt.

Ro-Ro Terminal
