A B O U T

“East Port Said port is well-positioned to be a major transshipment hub and gateway port.”

  • (EPS port) is located alongside the Suez Canal at Latitude 31°13’ North and Longitude 32°21’ East, and endowed with sheltered deep water facilities capable of accommodating large vessels.
  • Further expansions are proposed which will further increase the port’s standing.
  • Basin is dredged to 18.5 MT (The pavements are designed and built to reach a depth of up to 21 meters) to accommodate wide range of vessel types.

T E R M I N A L S

#1  Dedicated Container Terminals: 3000 m – 1.605.000 m².

#2  Multi-Purpose Terminal: 900 m – 322.000 m² [ G.C – L.B – D.B ].

#3  RoRo Terminal: 600 m – 212.000 m².

#4  Port reception facility: 100 m – 23.000 m².

#5 – #6  Grain Terminal / VALC: 500 m – 650.000 m².

#7  AP Muller Container Terminal.

The existing Container terminal operated by AP-Moller and Maersk line which is a major transshipment terminal, EPS port also hosts projects under construction and upcoming terminals (General Cargo terminal, RO/RO terminal, and Dry-Bulk terminal and CT2).

The port expansion allowed to increase capability of the port instead of:

  • 5 km of new Q-walls.
  • Basin is 550 m wide.
  • 7 km long.
  • 5 m draft.
  • 2 rotational circles.

The future development phase (2) two is to construct  new Quays to be added to the current capabilities of the berths and to raise the port’s classification in terms of berths numbers and  length.  The expansion works will maximize the Quays up to 14000M (Phase two adds up to 6000M length).

At the port’s backyards are three Logistic areas of total land  size of 24 KM2 to setup value-added activities and establish a logistic Hub.
