SCZONE’s chairman visits several projects of TEDA-Egypt in the sokhna industrial zone

Mr. Walid Gamal El-Din, Chairman of the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone, inspected several projects located within the scope of the industrial developer TEDA-Egypt. This visit to TEDA-Egypt comes to strengthening cooperation between SCZONE and its success partners, standing on the extent of development achieved by these Projects, and identification of the most important companies requirements within SCZONE to provide the necessary support through direct and indirect investment procedures and incentives.

“I appreciate the cooperation with the Chinese side in various sectors, as the projects of the TEDA-Egypt, a company affiliated with the Chinese TEDA company, within SCZONE are evidence of the success of this cooperation. It also proves the ability of the two sides to achieve more success in projects of common interest. we aspire to cooperate with Chinese investment in the field of green fuel manufacturing and its complementary industries such as electrolyzers, wind turbines, and solar panels, as we hope to reach final agreements during the next two years. SCZONE also has the desire to cooperate in the field of the medical supplies industry and the active substance of medicines to reduce the volume of imports in this field. SCZONE pays great attention to localizing food industries in the industrial zone in Qantara, which can also witness cooperation with the Chinese side, in addition to the possibility of cooperation in the field of automotive manufacturing, which is one of the areas of common interest between the two sides.” waleid Gamal El-Dein declared

“I’m grateful for the extent of support that the company received from SCZONE. There are a large number of companies operating within the scope of TEDA – Egypt, including the two companies EBH and IDM that work in the petroleum equipment sector. We also have 4 existing industries for building materials supplies. Joshi factory for the production of fiberglass is on the top of them, for which the trial operation of the third line was opened a few days ago.” Mr. Zhang Yixiang, Managing Director of TEDA – Egypt said.

The visit included the Fan Yang factory for the production of textiles and the Yan Jan factory for the production of paper supplies. It is worth noting that Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dein, chairman of SCZONE, is preparing to visit China in the first half of next year to discuss ways of cooperation in the targeted industrial sectors with the Chinese side. He will demonstrate the potential of SCZONE to Chinese investors, as SCZONE is also located within the scope of the Belt and Road Initiative.
