SCZONE receives the Latvian ambassador to discuss aspects of cooperation

Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien, Chairman of the General Authority of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE), received Mr. Andris Razāns, Latvian Ambassador to Cairo, to discuss aspects of cooperation in areas of common interest, especially in light of SCZONE’s efforts to attract various global investments in its affiliated ports, logistics services, and the targeted industrial sectors.

“SCZONE with its capabilities and strategic location, represents many opportunities and represents an effective solution to many of the current global repercussions. SCZONE has 4 industrial zones that represent the best location for any expansions related to conquering various global markets. The industrial zones can accommodate various industrial sectors and enjoy an integration with logistics areas and 6 ports on the Red Sea and Mediterranean Sea, ensuring ease and convenience in the movement of trade. SCZONE has achieved pioneering steps in the field of green transformation, which represents one of the most important aspects of cooperation with European countries through green fuel production and its complementary and feeding industries, in addition to ships’ bunkering services. SCZONE aspires towards expansion in technological fields, as we pay special attention to data center projects, which allow creating added value to SCZONE’s strategic location, where marine Internet cables cross under the Suez Canal. This also supports maximizing the use of talent and human resources that Egypt possesses in this field.” Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien, Chairman of SCZONE declared.

” I’m very glad to have this meeting to explore more about SCZONE activity. The current time emphasizes the necessity of relying on different energy resources, especially green energy. Several companies are interested in the technological fields and are looking to benefit from Egyptian talents. We will appreciate SCZONE’s presence in the Latvian Chamber of Commerce seminar next June in Cairo to discuss aspects of cooperation between the two countries.” Mr. Andris Razāns, Latvian Ambassador to Cairo said.
