SCZONE receives a delegation from the Thai National Defense College

SCZONE received a delegation from the National Defense College in the Kingdom of Thailand, yesterday,The delegation was headed by H.E Mr. Puttaporn Ewtoksan, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Major General Mohamed Shaaban Vice-Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone showed a presentation to identify the assets of SCZONE and its available investment incentives, investment opportunities, and the most important industries that SCZONE is targeting.

The vice-chairman explained the capabilities of SCZONE in terms of affliated ports, industrial, and logistical zones, which facilitate linking the locations of raw materials and manufacturing with global markets.

He also explained that SCZONE exerts great efforts to provide all support to investors through a package of various investment incentives.

“We are keen to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries as the Kingdom of Thailand has an economic zone, which opens prospects for joint investments. We need to exchange more visits in the near future between the two Zones.” the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand stated.

“We appreciate the warm reception for our delegation in SCZONE, as we also appreciate Egypt’s efforts to support the global trade and industry movement between east and west through SCZONE, especially in the light of the current global circumstances” Air Marshall poomjai leksuntarakorn, the senior advisor for the national defense college of Thailand added.

After the meeting, the delegation had a visit tour in Sokhna port, one of the most important ports in the economic zone, which is witnessed ongoing development works to transform it to a large and pivotal port overlooking the Red Sea. It will also be one of the important hubs in the Silk Road.
