“SCZone” joins the AEZO Organization for Africa Economic Zones*
Cairo, Egypt- Sunday, March 22, 2020 : “ The Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) has joined the Africa Economic Zones Organization (AEZO) , as a new step to increase cooperation with African and international organizations and to benefit from it as a platform for technical support and assistance in developing projects, promoting business trade and stimulating the various investments in our zone.” Engineer Yehia Zaki, Chairman of Suez Canal Economic Zone, announced today.
Yehia Zaki said that the presence of (SCZone) in such international organizations enhances and raises the classification of the zone among the global economic zones and further emphasizes, promotes its geographical location, its 6 ports and industrial areas, and showcases the advantages and investment incentives provided to our investors.
Zaki added: “The Africa Economic Zones Organization (AEZO) is a non-profit organization and it is one of the African institutions responsible for supporting the development and management of the economic and free zones in Africa. The organization was established to achieve a new dimension in the development of the African Special Economic Zones and identify prototypes for best practices and alliances.”
He also pointed out that AEZO works to promote and increase the attraction of investments, economic activities and commercial initiatives of the members, assists in the preparation of a model for the development of their zones and contribute to the implementation of sustainable development policies in Africa and globally.
It is worth noting that the organization has 73 members representing more than 35 African countries, including (Benin, Burundi, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Chad, Central African Republic, Comoros, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Lesotho, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Madagascar, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sudan, Togo, Tunisia, Sudan, Togo and others.
