SCZONE Chairman Participates in la Francophonie High-Level Economic Forum

Gamal El-Dien: We seek to cooperate with OIF member states in SCZONE-targeted industrial sectors

The General Authority of the Suez Canal Economic Zone announced this morning the participation of Mr. Walied Gamal El-Dien, SCZONE Chairman, in the high-level economic forum organized by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry with the participation of the Secretary-General of the International Organization of la Francophonie (OIF) and in the presence of representatives of the economic and trade mission of the organization, and a number of Egyptian authorities.

“We expanded our targeted sectors in SCZONE strategic vision reaching 21 sectors to be localized within SCZONE covering different economic fields especially Pharmaceuticals and Active Pharma substance. On this occasion, we seek to cooperate with OIF member states in SCZONE-targeted industrial sectors to share experiences and attract investments in these sectors to meet the needs of the regional market.” SCZONE Chairman declared during a presentation he conducted in the forum.

“SCZONE is targeting being the regional hub for green fuel, so it accordingly signed a number of MOUs and framework agreements with global major companies and consortia to initiate green fuel production facilities and stations for ship bunkering.” Added Gamal El-Dien.

Afterward, Mr. Walied Gamal El-Dien invited the OIF delegation to visit SCZONE headquarter in Sokhna to get acquainted closely with the projects within SCZONE and visit Sokhna port, the most important port on the Red Sea, which can serve OIF member states in Africa in exporting and importing activities, as well as visiting a number of factories in the integrated Sokhna zone and identifying a number of SCZONE development partners.
