Mr. Waleid Gamal El Dien, Chairman of the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE), witnessed this morning the opening ceremony of the “Silicon Valley” factory and the launching of the Infinix brand production line, in the scope of the industrial developer “TEDA – Egypt” within the industrial zone in Sokhna. The ceremony was held in the presence of Eng. Abdel Moneim Al-Khawaja, Chairman of the Silicon Valley Factory for Electronic Industries, which is the first factory in Egypt, the Middle East and Africa specialized in manufacturing wearable mobile phone accessories such as Smart Watches and Bluetooth headphones of all kinds. The factory is operating 3 production lines for these accessories, with a production capacity of 3,000 pieces per day for one production line, with a total investment of 25 million pounds.
“The opening of the Infinix brand production line in the Silicon Valley factory is a new achievement of cooperation between the SCZONE and the industrial developer “TEDA – Egypt”, whose investments in SCZONE amounted to more than $2 billion. The technological industries enjoy a great importance within SCZONE’s plans, especially since the location of SCZONE makes it a main gate for African markets, and the infrastructure equipped with the highest standards in the industrial zones and ports is one of the most important investment incentives. The Silicon Valley factory, which is located on an area of 1,350 square meters is considered the beginning of more investments in this field. In addition, the small industries sector receives great attention from SCZONE because it is a promising industrial sector and is consistent with the Egyptian economic policies in recent times.” Mr. Waleid Gamal El Dien, Chairman of SCZONE declared.

The factory was established in SCZONE’s Sokhna industrial zone because of its competitive advantages. It manufactures all accessories for the giant Chinese company Transsion Holding, which is one of four mega companies in China, and among the six largest global companies in mobile phone manufacturing and accessories with the largest market share on the African continent in the sales of mobile phones and their accessories.” Eng. It is noteworthy that Infinix, one of the mobile accessories brands, which had previously announced that it would continue to manufacture its products in Egypt within the framework of the President of the Republic’s initiative to localize the electronics industry in Egypt, “Egypt Manufactures Electronics,”. The company announced that it had begun manufacturing smartphone accessories in Egypt since the middle of 2023, through pilot operation phase in the Silicon Valley factory within SCZONE, where the first advanced TWS Bluetooth headset in the Egyptian market, XE22, was manufactured, which was already launched in the Egyptian market under the slogan “Made in Egypt”. The Silicon Valley factory holds international quality certificates, ISO 9001 and 45001, and is built on the latest technological systems and equipped with the latest testing and quality equipment in order to qualify the Egyptian product to the global standerds. The Silicon Valley factory also produces accessories for the Chinese company G-Tide, Infinix, Oarimo, and itel, as well as the UniTronics brand products of the Uni Group, which is the factory owner.
