President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Tuesday 31/12/2019 called for exerting more efforts to develop the General Authority For Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone)’s capabilities, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said.
President Sisi affirmed the importance that the state institutions should handover the SCZone’s projects successfully and efficiently to lure more investments and create jobs in line with the state’s comprehensive development process.
Sisi’s remarks came during his meeting with SCZone Chairman Yehia Zaki to follow up the authority’s development strategy and review the features of its future five-plan till 2025.
Zaki briefed Sisi on plans of supporting the capabilities of the authority’s human cadres and its financial situation regarding the investment projects as well as maximizing its revenues and coming investments.
He also reviewed the preparations for organizing an international economic conference in the first quarter of 2020 to introduce the authority’s activity and potentials in addition to promoting investment opportunities.
The meeting also touched on means to localize industry and technology and develop ports of Ain Al Sokhna and El Tur in cooperation with the Suez Canal Authority.
