On the proceedings of the climate summit (cop 27) SCZONE holds several discussions on green fuel projects within its pavilion in the green zone

The pavilion of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) within the Green Zone witnessed various meetings and visits. The pavilion demonstrates SCZONE’s efforts in the green fuel industries and the investment incentives offered.

Mr. Walid Gamal El-Din, chairman of (SCZONE), met with the Chairman and officials of ACWA Power Group which is considered a leading provider of energy and water desalination, starting with solar energy (photovoltaic), concentrated solar energy (CSP), geothermal energy, wind energy, and waste-to-energy conversion ( WtE) plus clean coal. The meeting aims to discuss means of cooperation and investment opportunities between the two sides, as SCZONE is interested in attracting various investments in the green fuel industries sector and its feeding industries due to the potential of SCZONE that qualifies it to be the most important regional hub for green energy.

“The steps and procedures which has taken by SCZONE towards the localization of green fuel industries are based on our readiness through robust infrastructure and proximity to renewable energy sources which are necessary for the industrialization process, in addition to the ports that will play a pivotal role in the Export and ships’ bunkering purposes. Waleid Gamal El-Dein, chairman of SCZONE declared.

In the same context, Waleid Gamal El-Dein held several bilateral meetings with various companies working in the field of clean energy and green fuel projects. He also had meetings with representatives of DP World company to discuss more cooperation between the two sides during the coming period.

He also met the representative of the Indian company Acme Group for Renewable Energy, as the company wants to cooperate with SCZONE in the green fuel sector.
