Bilateral discussions between SCZONE and a Vietnamese parliamentary delegation

SCZONE Chairman receives the deputy of the Vietnamese National Assembly to discuss joint cooperation

SCZONE Chairman, Mr. Walied Gamal El-Dien received Mr. Nguyen Huy Duong, Vice President of the Vietnamese National Assembly ‘Parliament’, during his visit to Cairo at the head of a Vietnamese parliamentary delegation.

During the meeting between SCZONE officials and the Vietnamese delegation at the SCZONE’s headquarters in Cairo, where SCZONE Chairman welcomed the parliamentary delegation and expressed his aspiration for joint cooperation between the two sides, especially since SCZONE had previously conducted bilateral negotiations with the Vietnamese side in various fields and sectors.

Gamal El-Dein announced: “We are interested in strengthening joint cooperation between the Vietnamese side and the economic zone in several axes, the most important of which is attracting Vietnamese investments and expertise, to establish industrial projects in several fields such as high-tech industries and the feeding and complementary industries for the automotive industries.”

“We are keen to localize the automobile industry, especially in the East Port Said Automotive Complex that SCZONE owns, as part of the Egyptian state’s national strategy to localize the automobile industry, in addition to SCZONE’s interest in specific industrial sectors that many countries tend to localize.” He added.

“The Vietnamese side is interested in cooperating with SCZONE, enhancing partnership and injecting Vietnamese investments in various fields, as well as cooperating with SCZONE in establishing labor training centers.” Vice President of the Vietnamese National Assembly declared.

After the meeting, the Vietnamese side welcomed SCZONE’s promotional tour in coordination with the Vietnamese embassy and the National Assembly to showcase investment opportunities to investors and companies in Vietnam during the coming period. The two sides exchanged commemorative shields as an expression of the close relations between the two sides.
