With investments worth USD 5.6 million..SCZONE Chairman signs contract with Turkish “Eroglu Moda Tekstil” for a ready-made garments factory in Qantara West Industrial Zone

Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien, Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE), signed a contract with the Turkish company Eroglu Moda Tekstil San Ve Tic S.A. to establish a ready-made garments factory in Qantara West Industrial Zone. The project will be developed on an area of 5,700 m², with total investments of USD 5.6 million, fully self-financed.

The factory will produce ready-made garments and denim products, with an annual production capacity of up to 1,000,000 pieces. The target is to export 95% of production to international markets, while 5% will be directed to the local market. The project is expected to provide 700 direct job opportunities upon full operation.

Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien noted that the total number of contracted projects in Qantara West Industrial Zone has increased to 50, covering a total area of approximately 3,464,100 m², with cumulative investments of around USD 1.352 billion, providing 70,365 direct job opportunities. This includes a project with the industrial developer, Main Development Company (MDC), the SCZONE’s development arm, aimed at establishing ready-to-operate factories and buildings.
