Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien, Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE), met several representatives of Japanese companies in Tokyo, during the second day of his promotional tour to attract Japanese companies for working within (SCZONE). The visit witnessed intense activity and meetings with the Japanese business community. SCZONE delegation was held with Mr. Yoshinori Kanehana, Chairman of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, at the company’s headquarters in Tokyo. The two sides discussed the possibilities for available investment in the main pillars of the company’s activity. The focus was placed on the company’s activities in Green hydrogen and its production, as Kawasaki possesses the technology and expertise necessary for transportation as well as its technological capabilities in producing some components necessary for the green fuel industries including electricity production, reducing emissions industry, and supplying ships in addition to the mobility industry.
“SCZONE has various available investment opportunities, especially in green fuel production, where we are going to establish a global center for the production of green fuel and exporting purposes. We are also focusing on future needs of applications for the use of green fuel within the local market as well”. Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien, (SCZONE), declared.
The chairman of SCZONE and his accompanying delegation also met with representatives of the Japanese company Torishima, which specializes in the manufacture, supply, and maintenance of huge water pumps needed for some industrial and civil purposes, especially in sewage treatment plants and water purification and desalination plants. Mr. Alister Flett, Senior Managing Executive officer, GM of corporate planning, and CDO of the Global-Sector division, discussed the vision which the company established as a specialized center for distributing spare parts needed for maintenance and installation work to neighboring countries. He showed remarkable interest in SCZONE and its activities. He also wishes to start with a logistical activity up to the manufacturing activity according to the company’s vision and the currently available facilities.
