SCZone receives the Norway Ambassador to discuss the promising investments

Eng. Yehia Zaki, Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone and Mr. Waleid Gamal Eldein CEO (SCZone) received Mrs. Hilde Klemetsdal the Norway Ambassador in Cairo to discuss bilateral cooperation between the SCZone and Norway.

The meeting included a detailed presentation about the investment incentives in the economic zone, and discussed the opportunities that the zone offers for the investors.

“SCZone’s strategy Focuses on more financial, custom incentives and localising targeted industrial sectors in the affiliated ports and industrial zones, Also enhancing the regulatory and legal framework in addition to providing various services with high quality” Eng. Yehia Zaki declared that within his presentation to the Norway Ambassador.

The presentation was about the strategy of SCZone and its plans to attract more foreign investments, and the capabilities of SCZone, which include 6 ports overlooking the Red sea And the Mediterranean sea with 4 industrial zones that include two integrated industrial zones.

Eng. Yehia Zaki added that SCZone has a great interest in energy projects, specifically the uses of green hydrogen, which enhances the achievement of SCZone’s economic goals for sustainable development.

She also praised Egypt’s capabilities in hosting the COP27 climate conference next year, and expressed her appreciation for Egypt’s efforts in this field and the joint cooperation that takes place between both countries.

On the other side, the Norwegian ambassador expressed her happiness with this meeting and the promising plans she witnessed for SCZone’s investments.
