“SCZONE has several capabilities, including integrated industrial zones and 6 ports connected to the Red Sea and the Mediterranean Sea. We are glad to have you, here, in the Sokhna Integrated Industrial Zone, which witnessed the inauguration of the first green hydrogen plant in Egypt and the Middle East during the last climate conference. We also work on labor development through the serious steps taken by SCZONE, as we signed a framework agreement between SCZONE, El-Sewedy Electric Corporation, and Banque Misr to establish an academy for technical training and education for the labor to qualify them for working in the industrial projects within the industrial zone in Sokhna.” chairman of SCZONE, Mr, Waleid Gamal El-Dein declared.

The Japanese delegation showed great interest in the investment incentives which are offered by SCZONE as well as the tax and customs regulations for the companies operating within it, as this gives SCZONE leverage in comparison with its counterparts. The delegation members also asked SCZONE to prepare a promotional tour in Japan for the Suez Canal Economic Zone early next year to meet with Japanese companies wishing to invest in the zone and demonstrate the available investment opportunities for the Japanese side to localize some of the targeted economic sectors.

At the end of the meeting, Waleid Gamal El-Dein expressed his appreciation for the cooperation between the two sides, then the delegation visited the Sokhna industrial zone. They visited El-Saraya factory, which is specialized in manufacturing Japanese cosmetics in Egypt. Saraya company is present in nearly 50 countries around the world and it started pumping its investments in Egypt in 2019 by providing services based on Japanese technology in the fields of sterilization, public health, and beauty.
