SCZONE receives chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Industries and representatives from 5 industrial chambers


Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien, Chairman of the General Authority of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE), received this morning, at SCZONE’s headquarters in Sokhna, Eng. Mohamed Zaki El Sewedy, Chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Industries, and several representatives from the Chamber of Engineering Industries, the Chamber of Textile Industries, the Chamber of Food Industries, the Chamber of Petroleum and Mining Industries, and the Chamber of Chemical Industries. This visit is regarding investment opportunities, cooperation, facilitating any obstacles facing industrial companies with export capabilities, and encouraging them to expand their activities within SCZONE.

 *“We are glad to receive the Chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Industries, and representatives of various Egyptian industrial chambers to demonstrate closely the capabilities of SCZONE by visiting the integrated Sokhna Industrial Zone. We aim for this meeting to be the beginning of joint work to deepen the cooperation to raise the word “Made in Egypt”, as SCZONE has become a Model of economic development and Egypt’s gateway to the future.” Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien, Chairman of SCZONE declared.

” SCZONE exerted great efforts to diversify the Egyptian production base, and enhance high-value-added manufacturing industries, as it was able to attract huge investments from various countries. SCZONE has succeeded during the last thirty months in contracting 255 projects in the industrial zones and ports with a total investment cost of $6.2 billion, providing approximately 28 thousand job opportunities. The Board of Directors of SCZONE also approved 4 new projects last January, with total investments of $1.84 billion.” Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien added.

” We appreciate all the achievements made by SCZONE, especially about providing an attractive investment environment that supports the investor with distinguished services and incentives, in addition to the availability of energy sources and the necessary infrastructure to establish various projects. Following this meeting, the delegation headed to a field visit to the industrial developers “El-Sweedy Industrial Development” and “Orascom Industrial Parks” to explore the companies operating in the industrial zone. The delegation then visited Sokhna Port to witness the development work.
