SCZONE: Establishing textile facility in West Qantara with investments of $ 20 million

The Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) and his accompanying delegation visited the city of Hangzhou. The delegation participated in a meeting that included 5 of the largest Chinese companies operating in various industrial sectors between chemicals, clothing, textiles, and others, in the presence of officials of TEDA – Egypt, the main industrial developer in the Zone which played an important role in attracting Chinese investments.

“SCZONE’s strategy is based on the localization of 21 investment sectors distributed in its affiliated industrial zones. SCZONE provides continuous support for TEDA-Egypt’s expansions and projects within the scope of the sectors targeted for localization. We invite all Chinese companies to make mutual visits to learn about SCZONE in depth.” Waleid Gamal El-Dien Chairman of SCZONE declared

On the sidelines of the meeting with the companies, SCZONE Chairman received a letter of interest from Shanghai Shengda, to establish a factory in the Western qantara industrial zone specializing in the manufacture of ready-made garments and accessories, with investments of $ 20 million.

The meeting was attended by representatives of “Tianyi Chemical Company”, which specializes in extracting bromine, which is needed for the manufacture of paint materials. As well as “Hidier Group International Holdings Limited”, a major holding company that contributes to a group of multidisciplinary companies, aiming to establish electrical stations within TEDA-Egypt. In addition to representatives of the Golden Spring Textile Company, which produces high-quality home textiles and fabrics. Zhejiang Seaport Group officials, which are concerned with the development and operation of the ‘Zhejiang’ port also attended the meeting. The company is arranging to visit Egypt soon to discuss cooperation with the economic zone in the field of ports and maritime services. In addition to the attendance of representatives of the Kingdom Textile Company, which specializes in spinning and weaving industries, the company delegation expressed its aspiration to visit the economic zone in mid-July.
