On the sidelines of the second day of (IMCE III), Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien, Chairman of the General Authority of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) and Dr. Amani Eid, CEO of Ebda Company for Enterprise Development, witnessed the signing ceremony of an offtake and distribution agreement between the Egyptian company “Treegas” for the manufacture of liquefied petroleum gas cylinders, and the Omani company “Muscat Gas” to distribute all the products of “Treegas” in Jordan and all Gulf countries.
SCZONE Chairman also witnessed earlier at SCZONE’s HQ in the Administrative Capital the signing of an MoU between the Egyptian company “Treegas” and the Czech company “HPC” aimed at the partnership, transfer and localization of technology for the manufacture of composite liquefied petroleum gas cylinders manufactured from fiberglass to Egypt. This establishes a Two-phase factory project for producing fiberglass cylinders, a filling station, and a production line for valves and gas pressure regulators in the Sokhna Industrial Zone. The investments of the first phase amount to 7 million euros, with 200 direct jobs and more than 450 indirect jobs with a production capacity of 500,000 composite cylinders per year. The second phase will bring its total investment to €3 million for a filling station, Gas pressure regulators and valve production line.
The signing ceremony was signed on behalf of Treegas by Dr. Abdul Fattah Hagag, Chairman of Muscat Gas and Mr. Emad Al Sabbagh, Company CEO. The MoU on the partnership with the Czech side was signed by Mr. Pavel Dubinin, CEO of HPC, in the presence of SCZONE officials, and officials of Ebda, the executive arm of the Egyptian National Industrial Development Initiative “Ebda”.

It is noteworthy that Treegas for Trade and Industry is the first specialized company in Egypt and the Middle East to manufacture liquefied petroleum gas cylinders composite of fiberglass. The company’s project is located within the Sokhna Industrial Zone on an area of 10.4 thousand square meters. Treegas is committed to providing valuable, safe and competitively priced LPG as an alternative to steel cylinders.
