“Cooperation with the Egyptian Commercial Service is a cornerstone in supporting SCZONE’s international promotional efforts, as joint action ensures the integration of roles among Egypt’s institutions concerned with investment attraction. I highly value the significant role played by the Egyptian Commercial Service offices abroad in supporting SCZONE’s promotional plans and showcasing its investment potential on the international stage. Over the past few years, SCZONE has successfully signed numerous contracts with international investors across diverse sectors, reflecting the growing global confidence in its capabilities and reinforcing its position as a model for international economic cooperation for development,” Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien, Chairman of SCZONE, declared.
“SCZONE today stands as a fully integrated platform for industry and logistics, extending over 455 km² and comprising four major industrial zones and six seaports on the Red Sea and the Mediterranean Sea. SCZONE targets the localization of 21 industrial and service sectors, including textiles, pharmaceuticals, automotive, complementary industries, and new and renewable energy industries, thereby maximizing local value-added and supporting the national economy. “I am pleased to coordinate and cooperate with SCZONE, which stands as one of Egypt’s national success stories in attracting foreign investments. Members of the Egyptian Commercial Service are a main pillar in supporting these efforts, and we look forward to strengthening cooperation with SCZONE in a way that serves our mutual interests and fosters national economic growth. This cooperation reflects the complementarity among Egypt’s institutions to achieve the targets of Egypt’s sustainable economic development strategy, and has been crowned with a cooperation protocol between SCZONE and ECS, underscoring the alignment of visions and objectives between both sides. Through our offices abroad, we will work to implement SCZONE’s promotional plans in line with the sectors and target markets identified by the Authority, thereby supporting Egypt’s efforts to attract more foreign direct investments.” Dr. Abdel Aziz El-Sherif, Head of ECS, said.
