SCZONE Chairman Receives Hong Kong Trade Delegation to Explore Garments and Textiles Investment Opportunities

Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien, Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE), received a high-level trade delegation from the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) at SCZONE headquarters in Sokhna to explore investment opportunities in the garments and textiles sector.

During the meeting, Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien highlighted SCZONE’s competitive advantages, including integrated industrial zones, affiliated seaports, advanced infrastructure, and its strategic location along major global shipping routes. He also noted SCZONE’s success in attracting foreign investment, particularly in Qantara West Industrial Zone, which has become a global hub for ready-made garments and textiles.

The delegation, led by Ms. Katherine Fang, CEO of Fang Brothers Holdings Limited, expressed a strong interest in expanding cooperation with SCZONE. The visit concluded with a tour of the Sokhna Integrated Industrial Zone, which included the TEDA–Egypt showroom, Egypt Cadi Textiles, and Sokhna Port.
