Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien, Chairman of the General Authority of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE), participated in the meeting of the Polish-Egyptian Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation in Warsaw and also participated in the proceedings of the Polish-Egyptian Business Forum. His participation is to review the investment opportunities in the targeted sectors within Egypt’s keenness to advance and develop bilateral economic relations in various fields.
Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Din held a bilateral meeting with Mr. Krzysztof Paszyk, Minister of Economic Development and Technology, during which they discussed the possibility of cooperation in the industrial and service sectors targeted by SCZONE, especially the technology sector. Following the meeting, Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien participated in the first meeting of “The Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation”, along with Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, and Mr. Krzysztof Paszek, Minister of Economic Development and Technology.
” SCZONE has become the ideal destination for various international investments wishing to expand. It has succeeded in enhancing maritime trade through the presence of its ports on the Red Sea and the Mediterranean Sea, in addition to the industrial zones qualified to receive all types of industries, providing qualified places for production and close to various regional and global markets, which supports the existence of great opportunities for cooperation with the Polish business community.” Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien, chairman of SCZONE, declared
Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Din also participated in the Polish-Egyptian Business Forum. During his speech, he reviewed SCZONE’s capabilities and the targeted industrial and service sectors, which amounted to 21 industrial and service sectors, including the pharmaceutical, food, automotive, and data centers industries.
” The targeted sectors were studied in line with the needs of regional and global markets. The infrastructure development created an attractive investment environment that represents an added value to the distinguished strategic location and played a crucial role in preparing SCZONE to be a hub for producing green fuel and supplying ships with it, which contributes to supporting the transition to a green economy industrially and maritimely. SCZONE also supports its investors by offering direct and indirect financial investment incentives.” Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien, chairman of SCZONE, added.
It is worth noting that the Chairman of SCZONE held a meeting with Mr. Michal Gramatyka, Deputy Minister of digital affairs, to discuss the possibility of future cooperation in the field of digital technology and data centers, especially since SCZONE aims to expand in this sector to meet the growing demand for cloud services, the Internet of Things, and digital transformation. He also held several bilateral meetings with various Polish companies wishing to explore the investment opportunities in the targeted sectors, where he met with officials from HYnfra Renewable Energy, which had previously announced its intention to build a green hydrogen plant in Egypt, and Tabor-Dębica, which is specializing in the repair and production of vehicles, including cars and locomotives.
