SCZONE Chairman in Japan to promote investment opportunities in the zone

Mr. Walied Gamal El-Dien, Chairman of SCZONE, and a delegation, participated in joint sessions and meetings with representatives of major Japanese companies operating in various industrial sectors. That comes within the framework of the promotional tours of SCZONE, which began with some European countries and then in Japan at the invitation of the Japanese Ambassador in Cairo to show the investment opportunities of SCZONE to Japanese investors.

SCZONE Chairman held a joint meeting with the Japanese company AGC Group Inc., which operates in several industrial sectors, most notably the automotive glass industries and various electronic applications such as screens, optical chips, quartz products, semiconductors, and architectural glass works. The company also operates in chemicals, ceramics, logistics and etc, and is considered one of the companies that export their products to foreign markets.

Mr. Walied Gamal El-Dien declared: “We discussed the possibility of the company’s presence in SCZONE to establish its projects there. We also reviewed the advantages and incentives SCZONE provides as the integration of seaports with the affiliated industrial zones and the ease of goods movement to and from the zone. The meeting discussed as well the possibility of exporting the company’s products to foreign markets, especially European ones, which are easily accessible from ports overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, and Asian markets through ports overlooking the Red Sea through the Suez Canal.”

For his part, Mr. Hiroaki Sano, General Manager of the company, presented its locations around the world and its intention to study investment opportunities in SCZONE. He explained the company’s need to provide supply chains for the industries necessary for the company’s final products. He also mentioned the possibility of manufacturing benefitting from the availability of the necessary structure, needs, and raw materials on which these industries depend.

On the other hand, SCZONE Chairman met with representatives of (Location Mind and ArkEdge space), which specialize in big data through multi-layered processors and predicting the flow of people based on artificial intelligence. It also analyzes the data of vehicles, cars, ships, etc., on which the huge management system of factories depends to facilitate and facilitate business, where the two sides discussed aspects of joint cooperation and the future of using this type of applications that rely on artificial intelligence technology within the zone.
