SCZONE Chairman heads to Amsterdam to promote investment opportunities in the zone

Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE)’s Chairman, Mr. Walied Gamal El-Dien, left yesterday evening, heading to the Dutch capital, Amsterdam, as part of his European tour to attract Dutch investments in the industrial sectors that SCZONE targets in its strategic plan 2020/2025, and to discuss the means of joint cooperation between the two sides.

The Chairman of SCZONE participates in the “Green Hydrogen: Projects of the African Continent” forum. Also, he’ll present SCZONE’s vision within the Egyptian strategy in localizing green fuel projects and their uses in various sectors. The Chairman will showcase SCZONE’s plans for these projects as well. Especially after signing 9 framework agreements with major international companies to establish projects for green hydrogen industries within Sokhna integrated zone, out of a total of 23 MoUs signed regarding green fuel projects. In addition to meetings with major Dutch companies operating in energy to present the investment opportunities available in SCZONE and the industrial sectors targeted to be localized in its affiliated ports and industrial zones.

In a related context, the roadshow includes joint meetings with the Dutch side, especially officials of Rotterdam Port, the largest European port, to discuss the means of joint cooperation between it and SCZONE ports and exchange experiences in this field.

It is worth noting that SCZONE has developed a promotional plan during the current year aimed at external promotional tours to knock on the doors of investment in European, Asian, and other countries to attract investments from major companies in various industries to invest within the Economic Zone.
