SCZONE Chairman Continues France Promotional Tour, Meets with Voltalia, Groupe HOLDER, and AGL Leaders

Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien, Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE), continues his promotional tour in France by meeting with leading figures in the French business community to promote investment opportunities and strengthen cooperation. The meetings were attended by Minister Plenipotentiary (Commercial)/ Bassem Farouk, Head of the Egyptian Commercial Office in Paris.

Meeting with Voltalia: Mr. Gamal El-Dien met with Mr. Yoni Ammar, Executive Vice President of Voltalia (renewable energy value chain specialist). SCZONE highlighted investment opportunities, particularly in Green Energy, as part of its strategy to localize 21 diverse sectors. The Chairman emphasized SCZONE’s competitive advantages: trained labor, competitive energy prices, strategic location providing access to two billion consumers, and its role in hosting major green energy projects.

Meeting with Groupe HOLDER: The Chairman met with Mr. Christian RAIMBAULT, Business Development Manager at Groupe HOLDER (food industry, owning brands like PAUL and Ladurée). SCZONE expressed significant interest in localizing the Food Industries sector at the promising Qantara West area, which is being developed into a regional hub with a strong agricultural hinterland and necessary labor pool.

Meeting with AFRICA GLOBAL LOGISTICS (AGL): The Chairman met with Mr. PHILIPPE LABONNE, Chairman of (AGL), discussing enhanced cooperation following the success of AGL’s investment in the RORO station at East Port Said Port. Discussions covered potential expansion in Sokhna and East Port Said Ports, affirming SCZONE’s commitment to supporting investors and positioning the zone as an effective regional logistics and transit hub.
