Mr. Waleid Gamal El Dien, Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone(SCZONE), announced the launch of the Indian “Platinum” project, the leading Indian company in the manufacture of additives and PVC stabilizers, within the industrial developer, Orascom Industrial Parks, next August. This announcement comes as a result of the fruitful meetings that took place by the SCZONE delegation during the four-day promotional tour in New Delhi and Mumbai, to introduce the investment opportunities within SCZONE and to attract more Indian investments.

“We are glad to announce a new success partner for SCZONE. We aim to attract Indian investments during the coming period, in all our targeted sectors. The industrial developer Orascom for industrial parks signed a contract with “platinum” company and the foundation stone for the project will be laid next August. The project has investments of $20 million in two phases, the first with $10 million investments with an area of 10 thousand square meters and the second 10 thousand square meters with investments of $10 million. The company aims to export 70 % of its products abroad and 30% to the local market. During our tour in India, we found the desire of many Indian companies to pump investments in Egypt, which confirms the importance of the local market for these companies, as well as the importance of SCZONE as a window for export to African markets.” Mr. Waleid Gamal El Dien, Chairman of SCZONE declared

“We are happy because of the Indian company’s choice to set up its projects in the scope of Orascom Industrial Parks within SCZONE. The integration between Orascom Industrial Parks and SCZONE attracts many foreign investments. We work together to remove the obstacles facing the investors and speed up procedures that would improve the business climate. This project will be the third of its kind within the Indian projects that are being built in SCZONE’s Sokhna.” Eng. Amr El-Batereq, CEO of Orascom Industrial Parks said.
