There are no fines for not using the ACID number.
How is the registration process done? Is it online or by handing over hard copies?
Registering on the website and then sending documents to the nearest logistics center (details can be found on Nafeza website).
Can the number change after it entered on Nafeza system?
The number cannot be changed.

Does this system apply to iron ships cargos?
Yes, this system applies to all shipments arriving to seaports in accordance with the Minister of Finance Decree No. 38/2021
Should all shipments types bear GS1 codes?
It is preferable to use GS1 barcode, if not present it is necessary to specify the part number on the foreign exporter’s invoice.
Does placing the ACID number on the shipment parcels facilitate the clearance of goods?
No.
How red and green paths implemented?
The path, whether red, green or yellow, is determined for all importers when the process starts and the declaration number 46 is issued.
What about the unclassified chemicals under GS1?
If no GS1 code is available part number/product number should be specify.
What document confirms the validity of the number? What are the guarantees so that the exporters do not provide an incorrect number?

What does the ACID consist of?
The shipment identification number (ACID) consists of 19 digits.
Is the (ACID) mandatory for each shipment or is it a unified number allocated to the concerned party upon initial registration such as the customer number?
It is mandatory for each shipment.
The law stipulated that the (ACID) must added to the description of goods section in the bill of lading. Is it mandatory to be included in the manifests, whether in soft or hard copies?
Article 39 of the Customs Law No. 207/2020 (apply ACID to goods-related shipment documents) shall be implemented.
Is the process of listing and transferring the manifests from the customs website to Nafeza be changed?
Yes.
How will the shipments having no (ACID) and were and re-shipped be handled?
The said restriction/case will apply 01/07/2021. Such shipment will be re-export as per the current procedures.
