A delegation of businessmen, investors and major Hungarian companies operating in various industrial sectors will visit the SCZone next January.
Eng. Yehia Zaki, the Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone , announced today. The Chairman invited them according to their desire to cooperate with SCZone and to discuss the procedures for establishing Hungarian investments within SCZone industrial zones.
“During my visit to Hungary, the past two days, to participate in the Egyptian-Hungarian Business Forum, I held several meetings to discuss bilateral cooperation between the two sides”, Eng. Yehia Zaki added.
The meetings included official governmental meetings at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade where the chairman of SCZone met the Hungarian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade in the presence of the Egyptian chairman of the general authority for investment and Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, Egypt’s ambassador to Hungary.
Eng. Yahia Zaki Also had meetings with officials of the Hungarian Export-Import Bank EXIM, which was considered one of the important meetings during the visit, the bank officials showed a desire to facilitate procedures that would support Hungarian companies to be present in the SCZone.
The SCZone chairman participated in the Egyptian-Hungarian Business Forum, which was held Thursday evening, in the presence of 50 Egyptian and Hungarian companies, He showed a detailed presentation about SCZone included the targeted industries and the advantages of the connectivity to the local and regional market in SCZone. The Hungarian side expressed its desire to be part of the SCZone with Hungarian investments.
They also know SCZone will enable them to import their trade easily towards the African markets and expand their investments outside the scope of neighboring countries, as they have a positive outlook on the economic zoneIn this context, they have a real desire to coordinate with the Hungarian Export-Import Bank to support Hungarian companies to be in SCZone. The targeted industries which the Hungarian interested in, include solar panel industries, pharmaceutical industries, building materials, electronics, and heavy industry inputs.
Hence, Hungarian government officials expressed their happiness for the cooperation between Egypt and Hungary and the strong of the joint ties between the two countries, especially concerning the project of supplying 1,300 railway cars to the transport sector.
