With Total Investments Exceeding $7m,,SCZONE Chairman Witnesses the contract signing Establish (Masae – MIFRA) Metal Industries Factory inside (MDC Developer) in Sokhna

Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien, Chairman of the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE), witnessed today, at SCZONE’s HQ in the New Administrative Capital, the signing ceremony for the project contract of (Masae for Metal Industries “MIFRA”), which is the first of its kind in Egypt to manufacture metal door handles, traditional and smart locks, and kitchen and office accessories. These products are used in hotel and residential furnishings, supporting the tourism and real estate development sectors.

The project is located within the scope of the industrial developer (“Main Development Company” MDC) in the integrated Sokhna industrial zone, on an area of 15,000 square meters, with total investments exceeding $7 million (equivalent to EGP 333 million), while the first phase investments amount to $3 million (equivalent to EGP 143 million). The project provides 200 direct job opportunities. The production of the project’s first phase is scheduled to begin in early 2027, with an annual production capacity of 2.5 million door and kitchen hinges, 3 million door handles, and 3 million ordinary and smart locks “Smart Lock”, in addition to metal coating using PVD and UV technologies, which are environmentally friendly.

The contract was signed by Major General Walid Youssef, Managing Director of MDC, and Mr. Ahmed Zayed, CEO of Masae for Metal Industries (MIFRA), in the presence of several executive leaders from SCZONE and both companies.ts.
