Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien, Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE), concluded his promotional tour in France by participating in a roundtable at the OECD headquarters in Paris, attended by senior leaders from international business and economic organizations. Key participants included representatives from OECD, the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations, Merck, and DAI Infrastructure.
During his speech, Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien highlighted SCZONE’s strategic vision as a global platform for industry and services, its strong infrastructure, integrated industrial zones and ports, and competitive incentives. He noted that SCZONE hosts investments from 30 countries, reflecting international confidence and diversity.
On the sidelines, Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien met with Mr. Mathias Cormann, Secretary-General of OECD, where both sides agreed to develop a joint action plan to enhance promotional tools, strengthen technical and institutional cooperation, and support targeted French investments in industry, services, energy, and logistics. The discussions build on the successes of existing French investments in SCZONE and aim to further deepen partnerships and localize industrial value chains.
