SCZONE Chairman Meets CHEC to discuss Ports and Infrastructure Projects

Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien, Chairman of the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE), met with a delegation from China Communications Construction Company (CCCC), led by Mr. Song HaiLiang,President of CCCC,and it’s subsidiary of China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC), represented by Mr. Bai yinzhan, to explore cooperation in developing port and infrastructure projects.

Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien highlighted that SCZONE is investing around USD 3 billion in port development to improve efficiency, integrate ports with industrial areas, attract investments, and strengthen Egypt’s role as a global logistics hub.

Mr. Song HaiLiang, CCCC president, emphasized Egypt as a strategic partner and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to applying its global expertise in port development, supporting regional and international trade.
