With Investments Exceeding USD 70 Million .. SCZONE Chairman witnesses contract signing for new glass factory in “Sokhna 360”

Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien, Chairman of SCZONE, witnessed a signing ceremony for a contract between El Sewedy Industrial Development and Xinmin Glass Egypt Co., Ltd (under establishment) to allocate land for a new integrated glassware, Pyrex, and tableware factory at Sokhna 360 Industrial City. The project covers 163,000 m², with total investments exceeding USD 30 million in the first phase and over USD 70 million upon completion of all three phases. It is expected to create more than 1,000 direct and 3,000 indirect jobs, with an annual production capacity of 516 million pieces for the first Phase.

Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien emphasized that the glass industry is one of the promising sectors within SCZONE, contributing to local manufacturing, export growth, and value addition to Egyptian products, while promoting integration between local and international companies across industrial zones.

Eng. Mohamed El Qammah, CEO of El Sewedy Industrial Development, stated that the contract reflects international investors’ confidence in Egypt’s investment climate and advanced infrastructure.
