First Korean Investment in Qantara West..SCZONE’s Chariman Signs $15 Million Contract with H&L Korea for Garment Factory

Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien, Chairman of #SCZONE, signed a contract with H&L Egypt Apparel, a Korean company specializing in ready-made and sportswear., This marks the first Korean investment in Qantara West Industrial Zone, with a factory to be built on an area of 42,000 m² and investments worth $15 million, creating around 2,000 direct jobs.

The contract was signed by Mr. Sung Jun Lee, CEO of the company, in the presence of senior officials from both sides.

Mr. Gamal El-Dien highlighted the growing global interest in investing in SCZONE, particularly in Qantara West, noting that the area now hosts 45 projects on a total area of 2.8 million m², with total investments of $1.18 Bn and over 62,000 direct jobs created. H&L Korea is a leading global manufacturer of sportswear founded in 1988, in Seoul, Korea, and has a strategic partnership with Outerstuff (USA), a major designer and distributor of licensed apparel for top leagues such as NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, MLS, and NCAA.
