SCZONE Chairman, stated on the sidelines of a contract signing ceremony: “SCZONE is preparing the West Qantara Industrial Zone to be an integrated industrial hub for the textiles, ready-made garments, and accessories sector. So far, we have successfully signed 32 contracts for projects in West Qantara, with total investments exceeding $822.2 million over a total area of approximately 2,097,400 square meters. These projects are expected to create 45,600 direct jobs.”
“Almost all the projects currently in Qantara West Zone target exporting the majority of their production to global markets, leveraging SCZONE’s unique location as a connection hub between the world’s continents, especially with the integration between industrial zones and seaports. This underscores the success of the strategic approach adopted by SCZONE to promote export industries and deepen local manufacturing. It also aims to localize supply chains in the spinning and weaving sector, starting from raw material production to manufacturing various types of fabrics and ready-made garments for major international brands.” Added H.E. Waleid Gamal El-Dien
SCZONE chairman further explained: “SCZONE continues to intensify its efforts to attract more investments in the target sectors outlined in its strategic vision. This will achieve the state’s goals of deepening industrialization and boosting exports. We are nearing the opening of several projects in the West Qantara region, including new factories and infrastructure projects that support the zone’s readiness. This is in addition to the availability of trained labor and the attractive incentives offered by SCZONE to support its success partners, the investors.
