Today, Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien, Chairman of the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE), signed contracts for two new projects in the Qantara West Industrial Zone, with total investments amounting to $28 million. These projects focus on textile manufacturing, printing, and dyeing. The projects will cover 100,000 square meters, providing 800 direct job opportunities.
Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien signed the contract for the Changzhou Kingcason Printing & Dyeing Co. Ltd, a Chinese company specializing in textile yarn manufacturing, fabric production, dyeing, printing, knitting, and design. The project will be established on a 60,000-square-meter plot with total investments of $24.5 million, creating 500 direct job opportunities. The entire production output will be exported, and the contract was signed by Mrs. Yimei Zhou, the company’s managing director.
Additionally, Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien signed the contract for Shanghai Honour Home Textile, a Chinese company specializing in home textiles and fabrics, in partnership with its UAE-based subsidiary, Home Hub Textile. The project will have a total investment of $3.5 million, spanning 40,000 square meters, and will create 300 direct job opportunities, with 100% of the production dedicated to export. The contract was signed by Mr. Ming Yang, the managing director of the company.
