SCZONE participates in the 2nd edition of the international manufacturing convention and exhibition

The General Authority of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) participates in the international manufacturing convention and exhibition in its second edition, which is held under the auspices and in the presence of Mr. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi at the Manara Conference Center. The event is organized by the Federation of Egyptian Industries from October 28 to 30, 2023. SCZONE participates through its pavilion in Hall 1, showcases the boom enjoyed by its affiliated industrial zones, which are the Sokhna Industrial Zone, the East Port Said Industrial Zone, the West Qantara Industrial Zone (Abu Khalifa), and the East Ismailia Zone (Technology Valley), and through them, SCZONE presents the concept of integration. between the seaports and industrial zones to facilitate the process of transporting raw materials and products to and from industrial zones, especially in the Sokhna Integrated Industrial Zone and the East Port Said Integrated Industrial Zone.

“SCZONE is moving confidently towards achieving its strategy, as the last fiscal year 2022/2023 included contracts in industrial zones and ports worth $3.57 billion for 60 projects, 53 of which were in industrial zones worth $2. 23 billion, 55 industrial projects received initial approval at a total investment cost of 1.7 billion dollars, and 68 companies were established in SCZONE, in addition to 50 companies that obtained a construction license, and 11 framework agreements were also signed for the production of various kinds of green fuel annually, which confirms that Egypt’s investments in SCZONE are the ideal choice for creating competitive industrial clusters that achieve local sufficiency in several industries and being a gateway to the Egyptian industry in the global markets.” Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien, chairman of SCZONE stated.

The SCZONE’s participation in the conference is important, as it has 4 industrial zones and 6 seaports that were prepared through robust infrastructure with a cost reached $3 billion, through which it was able to receive various types of industries in addition to its strategy that aspires to localize 21 industrial and services sectors including the green fuel industry, in addition to the fact that SCZONE is an integral part of Egypt’s strategy to localize the automotive industry. The exhibition visitors can learn more about the industrial sectors within SCZONE through its pavilion at the exhibition.
