SCZONE attends the “Investment in Egypt” Forum alongside companies from Tianjin City

The Office of Foreign Affairs and International Relations of Tianjin City organized the “Investment in Egypt” forum. The forum was attended by many representatives of Chinese companies operating in the field of petrochemicals, heavy industry, food, and energy. In the presence of Mr. Walied Gamal El-Dien, The Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE), and his accompanying delegation. During his promotional visit to Tianjin as part of a promotional tour to China. This came after the meeting SCZONE’s delegation had with the Mayor of Tianjin City, who was keen to hold this forum so that the delegation could present investment opportunities within SCZONE. Also to present the success stories of Chinese companies operating in Sokhna zone, to attract more Chinese investments to SCZONE.

The forum began with the Chairman of SCZONE presenting the investment incentives and the advantages SCZONE provides to the investor. Especially those recently approved by the government to attract more investments in green hydrogen projects. SCZONE has the potential to become a regional hub for green fuel trading. It is also distinguished by its location on the Red Sea and the Mediterranean, passing through the Suez Canal, to serve the Belt and Road Initiative. SCZONE is considered a major gateway for Chinese products to access African, European, Arab as well as American markets.

On the other hand, SCZONE’s delegation met with Mr. Qu Defu, Chairman of TEDA Holding Group, at its headquarters in Tianjin to discuss ways of joint cooperation in attracting more Chinese investments to SCZONE. And discuss the additional incentives that have been approved for the automotive industry, green fuel, and complementary industries.
